I did not enjoy episode 3 of Sherlock on the BBC…
It wasnt nearly as cleaver as the others… It was honestly a tad bit odd. I love Sherlock, but the whole Lurch-type character and space thing and time limit thing… I feel like they were trying too hard… But its always a good show… I shall keep you all posted.
Sherlock Holmes
There have been many Sherlock Holmes stories throughout the years- each is different and each has a different view of Sherlock Holmes.
The new movie, Sherlock Holmes, with Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law takes a very different spin off of the books. This movie, although brilliant, takes a more aggressive and forceful viewpoint than the others. When thinking about the brilliant Sherlock, I tend to think of someone who fights crime without force, just thinking and just figuring out things. However, in the movie, Sherlock does this, but is also violent and uses force to get his way or get out of situations. But, that does not discredit the movie. It is a fantastic movie. Go see it if you havent already
The new TV series by the BBC is fantastic! It takes a modern spin on the movie, using text messages and showing modern devices, but its fantastic. The cast is simply perfect, and its awfully clever. There are only two episodes out so far, but they will make more, not to worry. I highly recommend it- it’s the same characteristics of the quick-minded, smart, sarcastic/brilliant Sherlock that everyone knows and loves. Definitely check it out!
